Broken Video Games!

It looks like I’ll have an unexpected expense to pay soon.

My daughter’s Playstation 3 video game console seems to have died!  I think it came with a one year warranty and as a 2007 Christmas present, it’s 13 months old, so if we can get it fixed I’m sure I’ll have to pay for it.  I do know one thing.  If I can’t afford to pay cash for the repair, it won’t get fixed.

I will eventually get it fixed because we have too much money tied up in video games to just let it gather dust.  She can wait until the time is right.  She’s not one of those kids whose life revolves around video games, so she doesn’t use it a lot.

I’ve been googling possible do-it-yourself solutions and trying them out. I’ve been rebooting, restoring default settings and other things for an hour and a half and now I’m just trying a system restore.  That takes a few hours, so I figured I’d come blog about it and vent a little!

I still play with my old Nintendo Entertainment System, which I got for Christmas when I was in Kindergarten. Those things were built to last. Maybe you should find one on eBay for her to play with in the meantime. ;)
