My First Setback (Or is it?)

I got paid last Friday, like I do every Friday.  It was my first full check in the last three weeks due to holiday slowdowns at work. Well, it was close to a full check, I think I had 38 hours.

I was doing some figuring once I saw the check stub at work and realized that after the credit card bills, there wouldn’t be much left for groceries.  I knew my wife was going to the store right after she got off work, so I had to call and break the news to her.  We had made a promise to each other not to use the credit cards anymore, but we decided we’d have to do it one more time.

I drove home and checked the mailbox and in there was a refund check for $132.50 from a company that had worked on the closing of our mortgage refinance loan.  I had no idea this check was coming, so it was like finding money!  You can’t beat that.

Now I can submit another online payment to pay for those groceries and we’ll be back on track!
